Disadvantages of Globalization
Globalization is any kind of company's focus on. However , it has to be taken into account that globalization has down sides as well as positive aspects.
One of the drawbacks of the positive effect is the over-standardization of products through global branding. Using Emirate Airline to illustrate this point, globalization is going to means that their services are standardized which in turn aim to provide all buyers. They would reduce their uniqueness of the organization culture after they go global. Also, the over-globalization will result in the lack of creative imagination and merchandise diversity Hongladarom (2002), Zekos (2004).
In addition, globalization could also create diseconomies of range as not all countries have the same growth and economic cycle. For example , Emirate may run very well in the centre East and Europe industry but broadening into Asia or America market is going to reduce their very own profit. This may be due to problems of complementing activities in those new markets and also the culture dissimilarities. It is also important to note that globalization will cause de-industrialization and high unemployment in the domestic industry.
